It has been over ten years since I published Sustenance and Hope for Caregivers after I spent a career working in social work at the Lahey Medical Center and even more time researching different society’s view of caretaking in the US, China and Cuba. The Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020 has heightened the awareness of how delicate our lives are and how quickly our lives and society can change.
