It has been over ten years since I published Sustenance and Hope for Caregivers after I spent a career working in social work at the Lahey Medical Center and even more time researching different society’s view of caretaking in the US, China and Cuba. The Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020 has heightened the awareness of how delicate our lives are and how quickly our lives and society can change.
This blog is an effort to continue the conversation, share personal insights, and be a resource for many who are forced to face premature decisions about health.
